Bookkeeper/Finance Administrator
Salary: Based on experience
Reports to: Managing Director
Hours: Part time. 16 hours per week
Required job outputs
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including raising/processing invoices, receipts and payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts, maintain accurate financial records and keep ledgers up to date.
- Prepare monthly finance reports and support budgeting and cashflow monitoring.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and support year-end accounts preparation with our external accountant.
- Support payroll processing and ensure accurate, timely inputs and records.
- Optimise our cloud-based finance/payroll systems—enhancing data quality, automations and integrations.
- Be a friendly first point of contact for finance-related customer and supplier queries and support the wider team with day-to-day administration.

Qualifications/Experience
- Proven bookkeeping experience (small business experience ideal).
- Good working knowledge of UK bookkeeping and VAT requirements.
- Confident using cloud accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel.
- Strong numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail; able to manage deadlines independently.
- Digitally minded and interested in process improvement (automation/integrations/using systems to their full capability).
- AAT/ICB Level 2/3 (desirable).
