Plums

Generally, a reliable fruit, rewarding the gardener with successful harvests of delicious plump fruit, ready to eat straight from the tree or for making into jams, pies and crumbles. There are several varieties available nowaday that don’t take up a lot of space, so even the smallest of gardens can have a plum tree.

       

Czar - Medium size, dark purple fruits with yellow flesh. A regular and reliable cropper.

Marjories Seedling - Large, oval purple fruit with well flavoured yellow flesh. Regular and prolific cropper. A popular variety for both eating and cooking.

Opal - Medium size plum that are reddish purple and has a superb flavour.

Victoria - Large, oval pale red fruits with a well flavoured, green yellow flesh. Regular and easy cropper. The most popular dessert plum.

USE: August. ROOT STOCK: St Julian. POLLINATION GROUP: Self Fertile.
